    Affiliate Marketing

Ok, I’m not going to talk about walking dogs because that’s not what I’m about. Assuming you are doing affiliate marketing and you have already found your niche, we need to find affiliate programs.

If you have a specific niche in mind, just Google (dogs or electronics or whatever you have) affiliate programs.

You can make this easier by using affiliate marketplaces such as Clickbank, Awin-Shareasale, JVZoo, Commission Junction, Warrior Plus, and others. They aggregate offers in category, popularity, and sales volume. If you are learning, don’t sweat this too much; just figure out the basics and start surveying affiliate platforms later.

The most beginner-friendly platforms are Clickbank, Awin-Sharasale & Commission Junction

    Publishing Content for Affiliate Sales

    affiliate sales

My method of choice is blog reviews; they can tell the story and answer the questions the keyphrases suggest.

While your article unfolds, you can interlace affiliate links and buttons throughout at the appropriate place. Publishing this way does require that you have a blog to publish on. This can be overcome by using free blogging platforms if you don’t have one.

They can be written as a short testimonial-style review if you have that vantage point, a long form blog product review, a short product review, or a listicle. I use all but mostly long-form article reviews.

You might say, Why do you do the longform product reviews? Well, I have an ulterior motive. The longer article will bring your subject more authority compared to the shorter. I want Google to see all the content because eventually I will be rewarded with more traffic.

And, finally, a not-so-obvious reason is because I use content tools to help me scale my content output. my faves are Koala Writer and SEO Writer.AI. I know they are not free but the amount of content Im publishing justifies what I pay for them.

    Email Marketing

You may be saying I don’t have a list; we’ll get one. It will be your lifeblood. Start now and don’t stop. I’ve made this mistake before. You can learn how to market your list along the way. When you grow and nurture a list that knows and trusts you, it will be your most valuable asset.

You can start with a free mail server like Mailchimp; I think you get up to 500 subscribers for free. But, better yet, my recommendation is Leadsleap, it has everything you will need to market your list as well as built-in traffic. Its free to join and upgrade I believe is maybe 20 bucks. It also includes an affiliate system inside.

How to Rank Your Content in Search

This is the most important after creating the content. This comes down to good basic SEO. What do I mean by basic SEO? We’ll let’s say it’s basic if you get it right. Pick keywords in your niche with commercial intent with the lowest amount of searches.

You do this because your blog cannot compete against blogs with higher authority. Also, you won’t be writing 5,000-word articles. The competitors will be writing articles they know are in their wheelhouse. You can use powerful tools like Ahrefs and Semrush free to get your initial research done. The subscriptions to those are quite pricy.

Some free tools like the Keyword Surfer Chrome extension are pretty handy to help you get a feel for people who are searching, but they don’t give you the information I have listed above.

This is called low-hanging fruit, and it’s a sure basic way to rank as long as you have optimized your article for SEO. It will, however, require you to publish more articles to stack up the traffic. Remember my method of stacking content; this will help you as well. The long-term traffic you build will pay you back.

    Pro TIP: Interlink Your Articles

Content stacking is a long-term strategy.

I am not an expert at this, but I do it. You can find better sources than me on how to build a site linking Hirearchy.

But, basically, you make several core authority articles and link them back to your domain and each other. Next; make feeder articles that could be informational in nature and then link back to the core-articles that are similar.

Next, interlink some of them with each other. I shorten some of this because I use WordPress and the Interlink plugin that links similar topic posts. Not saying I do this right, but Google approves it when it’s right. When pages don’t link to others, they are referred to as orphaned.
